HELLO, MY NAME IS OLUDAYO!

As a registered psychotherapist (RP Qualifying) based in Brampton, ON, I bring a wealth of experience working with a diverse range of clients. My approach is deeply collaborative, as I believe in working with clients to set goals for positive changes and develop healthy coping strategies. I use a variety of modalities to help clients understand their presenting problems and develop practical coping skills for positive life changes, always ensuring that the client's well-being is at the forefront of our work together.

I started my career as a school counselor and diversified into a residential counselor for a homeless shelter and residential homes. I like to work with people, helping them as much as needed to have a desirable life. I worked in the shelter as a residential counselor to support the residents and help them achieve their goals of a better life. In addition, I have provided assistance and resources to immigrants coming to Canada; as an immigrant, I know it is not easy to settle down as a newcomer.

My counselling services cover a broad spectrum of issues, from physical and mental health concerns to stress, work, and academic problems. I also have extensive experience working with individuals and families dealing with relational issues and those struggling with marital problems. In particular, I have a deep understanding of and experience in supporting individuals diagnosed with autism, attention deficit disorder, and developmental disabilities. I provide services for youth, young adults, and adults, supporting them on their journey of self-discovery and change.

MY APPROACH

In my practice, I prioritize an evidence-based approach, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavior Therapy (MBCT), Emotion-Focused Based Therapy (EFBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Christian/spiritual counseling. I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for clients. My passion for assisting people is at the core of my practice, and it is reflected in my approachability, friendliness, and commitment to ethical counseling practices. You are not just a client but a valued individual on a journey to positive change.

  • I have a master’s degree in counseling psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University (NB). I also completed an advanced diploma in developmental service work from Humber College (ON). My earlier bachelor’s degree was in education guidance and counseling from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria.
