What is HOPE?

“Hope is a feeling of Expectation and desire for certain things to happen” (Oxford Dictionary). In certain situations, we expect something to happen, a state of anticipation, aspiration, and belief that the desired outcome will be positive.

Hope Therapy, developed by Charles Synder explains two elements of hope

  1. the ability of the client to set realistic and achievable goals

  2. the ability of the client to choose the practical pathway to achieve the set goals.
